About Me: I am a recent college grad, I received my degree in Social Science with an emphasis on Anthropology. I plan to continue on with school, eventually seeking a Masters Degree in Archeology. I have held a steady 3.6 GPA through my college career. I do not smoke, have safe, reliable transportation and a clean driving record. I have a recent negative TB test, and do not have a record. I have security clearance with Community Care in Hayward, CA. I will happily submit to any other background test a parent wants if the cost is reimbursed (approx. $40-70). I was infant/child CPR certified for 3 years, but it expired in Nov of 2007. I do plan on getting it reinstated in the near future. I am responsible, loving, nurturing, attentive, and wonderful with children.

My Experience: I have worked with children aged preschool-high school. I spent more than 1 year as a Sunday school teacher for children ages 3-4 years old. I developed creative, stimulating activities that both conveyed a message and held their attention. I worked more than a year in a popular Castro Valley daycare for children ages 5-12. We provided after-school care, homework help, reading time, snack preparation, educational field trips, and stimulating activities.

I am a former employee of Gymboree Music and Play, a learning facility which helped stimulate learning and problem solving skills in little ones aged newborns-5 years old through structured play. I have spent more than 2 years as a personal nanny/babysitter for other families, taking care of their children in their home both after school and on weekends. Currently, I work as a teacher for Adventure Time, an on-site before/after-school daycare facility for elementary aged children.

What I Offer: I would like to offer my services to a family looking for a day-time/after school nanny. I am available at all hours. I am looking for something M-F either 3-7ish with school age children, or even 8am-5pm for infants/toddlers. I can also work weekends and overnights, with notice.

I offer child care IN YOUR HOME, not a facility. I believe the child(ren) and parent(s) are more comfortable this way. Children are around their own toys and items, and you know where your child is and what kind of environment they are in. Also, with a sitter in your home your child receives personal attention. I will clean up any activities I do with your child(ren). You will not find glue all over your kitchen table. However, I do not do laundry, vacuuming, dusting, etc. My experience/focus is in caring for your child. I can take your child to the park, extracurricular activities, or for older kids I can supervise when they have friends over. I can take them to the store for school project supplies, or to the mall or movies for some fun. I have a daughter entering first grade at Hoover, a 4 year old that attends preschool and my 3 year old is with me full time right now. He may also attend preschool this fall.

I used to be a supervisor in a school aged day care in San Diego and I have been doing in home child care since my son was born. I know how expensive day care is, so I want to help out your family. I have over 30 units in child development and know first aid and CPR.

We have a safe and secure backyard with lots of toys to play with. We also have a variety of toys and activities to do inside. If your child is in school I will provide snacks and homework help. I will drop off and pick up your child too. If your child/ren are younger I will provide snacks and lunch. My rates vary. I run a Day Care out of my home in Lodi off of Harney Ln. I have a three bedroom two bathroom home and I just remodeled my garage into a play room for the children with new carpet and tile A/C and a Sheetrock ceiling. I provide all hot meals for no additional charge through the Food Program. I have openings for nighttime shift for those parents who work graveyard and starting mid August when school starts I will have openings from AM till 3:30pm for all ages and I will be teaching preschool curriculum.
