DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with “walk in” Customers and assist with Customer press checks as needed.
- Manage the new item process by working hand in hand with CSR’s from Ontario.
- Collect all items needed to release an order to Production.
(Order, Cad Drawing, Print Card).
- Gather items for final approval by Production, Prepress and Design.
(Mylar, Proof, Cad Drawing, Signed Samples and Ink Draw Downs).
- Review orders for accuracy and report back to CSR prior to production.
- Make changes in system to order/spec when hard card is returned from production with notes/changes.
- Confirm repeat order via email that it is okay to print and release to Production.
- Print Order, attached Cad Drawing, and Print Card and release to production.
- Confirm back to Ontario that Customer due date will be met.
- Expedite the follow through on all orders; communicate back to Customers, Ontario and Sales
- Daily meetings with Production, and feed back to Ontario
- Work closely with Prepress, Design and shipping.
- Walk the floor to insure on time delivery.
- Quality Control: Work closely with the QC department at all times.
- If QC issues come up, follow through with a Corrective Action and insure communication flow.

Must be handled firm! An extension of the Customer Service Department, the Eyes and Ears! Ability to stop something if it’s not right, keep your company’s best interest in mind. Make smart decisions; insure we are exceeding the customer’s expectation. Manage the order from point of entry to shipping out the door.

● Must have deep experience managing a large team operating web offset presses (Harris N946, N1700 & N9000)
● Responsibilities include: scheduling crews, arranging vacation coverage, job planning, prioritizing maintenance tasks, conducting inspections, holding supervisor and operator meetings to review monthly results and accountability for advancing performance, quality and leadership in the Pressroom
● Interacting with all department managers to ensure the work flow, procedures, systems, policies; safety practices are favorable to Plant initiatives, maintenance labor budgets, manning and prioritizing work orders.
Position requires disassembly, inspecting and evaluating the condition or failure of motor and placing orders for parts. Reassembly of electro-mechanical equipment along with knowledge of single and three phase power. Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude REQUIRED. Must be comfortable using hand and power tools, multimeter, megger, surge and hipot machine, micrometer and dial indicator. Someone who has worked in a plant repairing and identifying problems with equipment or a millwright would be a plus.
