KING GEORGIE, 2 year old male Weimaraner. Georgie grew up with five
litter mates and very little contact with other dogs or humans. He is
really enjoying both dog and human companionship in his foster home,
and is coming our of a shell he tucked in to as soon as he moved away
from his siblings. Georgie is learning commands such as "sit" and
"down", and he is learning NOT to jump on people like a puppy. He is
house trained, current on vaccines, and neutered. He sleeps through
the night in a crate, and during the day when his foster Mom is at work,
he stays with his new Weim buddies in the house with a doggie door to
the outside. Georgie has LOTS of energy! He needs some work on his
leash training, and basic obedience classes will help him get more

Fifteen to 30 minutes later, someone reported seeing a similar-looking dog being picked up and put in a car, but it hasn't been determined if it was the missing dog, Russell said. There was no description of the car.

Green and Guide Dog officials searched the area Saturday for the dog, Russell said.

The dog, named Gannon, is a black male Labrador Retriever. He has a black collar with a Guide Dog tag and has tattoos in both ears (small dots that consist of letters or numbers).

Gannon is owned by Guide Dogs for the Blind. He and other dogs are raised in homes until they are 15 to 18 months old. Then they begin their formal guide dog work and are matched with blind people, said Guide Dogs spokeswoman Denise St. Jean.

While in family homes, the dogs are trained to have excellent house manners, and family members socialize them by introducing them to new people, places and experiences, St. Jean said.

My home has been foreclosed on today and I have had to move to an apartment. I cannot have pets there, I have posted ads for this dog in the past and have had no luck. I have contacted a cattle dog rescue site in the bay area and they have no openings currently for her. I have somewhere to keep her for the week and then I will have no choice but to have her put to sleep. The dog is a female Australian cattle dog, I saved her 4 years ago. Prior to this she was a stray with an abusive background. She is a great guard dog and would be a good dog for a single woman. The dog does however have some aggressive tendencies towards men. Later that evening, the owner called, told me that she has multiple small children at home and can no longer give Pebbles the attention that she needs, therefore did not want her back. We chose to keep her at that time, she's such a wonderful dog, so loving and great with children.

Unfortunately, we already have two chihuahuas, and our female chihuahua has not taken Pebbles in well, and keeps trying to attack her, everytime we go outside to play with them all.

It's not fair to Pebbles, nor our original two dogs, so we're looking for a good home for Pebbles. She's an indoor/outdoor dog, and would probably be best in a single animal household. According to her original owner, she is 8 years ago.

Pebbles loves to sleep on the back of the sofa, loves children and loves to play fetch with a good tennis ball. She is housebroken and can do a few simple commands, as she wasn't extensively trained with her original owner.

We wish we could keep her, unfortunately, our female chihuahua didn't agree with us.

On May 1st our 6 month old female pitbull mix was stolen. She was last seen in Modesto. She would now be about 11 months old. She is grey with white on her chest, white on the top of her two back feet and white on the back of all four legs at the base. She was wearing a lavender reflective collar with bones and paw prints on it. At the time of her disappearance she weighed about 40 pounds.

There is a reward of $1000 to the person who helps bring her back to her family. We know someone out there has seen her and knows where she is.
