Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this. I will be as honest and straightforward about the situation, so I don't waste your time.

I am a 31 year-old woman and my future husband and I are very passionate about youth ministry. We are seeking to buy a home in the Tracy area, which we would like to be able to use for youth ministry activites in the future.

I have saved the majority of the 10% required down payment (10% is required due to 98% of homes being foreclosures or short-sales). However, we are struggling to find the remaining $8,000 dollars.

We are hoping that there is someone or a few people who might be willing to contribute to our dream, so that we can work toward making a real difference in the community.

I will leave it at that and ask you to contact me if you want anymore information about my plan or want to know how you can help make our dream come true and I will give you information about where to send any money. **Any additional money received over what I need for the home will be directed to a ministry to the homeless.**

Thank You For Your Time,

Looking for other volunteers for advice (Stockton)

I'd like to communicate with other people that volunteer at various agencies here in Stockton. Not because you have to, but because you want to.

I am undecided as to where/what agency I want to commit some of my time to. I've narrowed it down to Hospice care or at the homeless shelters/soup kitchen in downtown Stockton. I'd volunteer with the Stockton Animal Shelter Friends but I'd feel like I'm being traitorous to my 3 rescued dogs.

To get the ball rolling, a few questions are: What do you do for volunteer work? Why do you do it? What do you enjoy about it? How did you become involved? Do you believe that the people at the agency that you volunteer with have good intentions? What advice would you have for someone who's new at volunteering?

Thanks!

Foster Care Families For Our Rescued Dogs Are ALWAYS NEEDED BY NORTH BAY CANINE RESCUE & PLACEMENT.

We cannot remove a dog from a shelter unless we have a temporary home to place them with until permanent placement can be made. We are looking for caring and loving people to help in caring for these wonderful pets while we actively and diligently find their FOREVER HOMES . You can reside in any of the following San Francisco Bay Area Counties;

SAN FRANCISCO COUNTY, SONOMA COUNTY, MARIN COUNTY, SAN MATEO COUNTY, or OTHER NEAR BY COUNTIES.

There are so many wonderful dogs being destroyed for no other reason than LACK OF GOOD LOVING HOMES who just need loving homes and they will be loved and cared for until they can be placed. We need dedicated people who are patient in waiting for their fostered pet to find a good home to move on to. Are you looking for a pet to adopt? We’ll help you take care of that too, through our reliable placement program. NBCRP will pay for all costs of care for the dog(s) any volunteers kindly take into their loving homes. Volunteers should be home with their foster pets for a good portion of each day. All homes will be inspected to ensure each foster home has fenced enclosed yards with no easy access out, safety of each home, review of any pet already in the home and probable compatibility of each, etc. Each foster family will be required to provide their foster pet with socialization skills, experience riding in cars, walking and behavioral training, and plenty of play time. All Foster families must be available to take phone calls from prospective adopters and to make appointments for all prospects to come visit the dog in the foster family’s home. All additional information and requirements will be provided prior to a pet being placed in the foster family’s home.
At this time NBCRP is working on the filing of it’s 501-C3 status, which means that until we receive this certification, any donations over (I have to check the amount) will not be tax deductible to the donor. We are, however, allowed to accept donations in smaller amounts and also of food, toys, bedding, supplies, volunteered veterinary care and whatever you can think of that you could help with.
