Update - I cleaned it up some. and shot some better pictures with bimini top and front bow cover. I do have some extra stuff to go along vest, skis and some ropes.
Are you in the market for a boat that has character, stories, and occasionally working gauges? Well buckle up (or don’t, it’s a boat) because this 1999 Reinell 203 (20 ft) is ready for its next captain.
👍 PROS (aka why you’re still reading)
It’s a boat. It floats. Already ahead of some listings.
Only 207 hours on the motor (Almost fresh)
5.0 engine + Volvo Penta outdrive → easy to work on, even for your “YouTube-certified mechanic” phase
Wakeboard tower by Lightning (Sacramento) 💪 — cost about $4K, makes you look way cooler than you are
Outdrive just serviced ($1600) — she’s fresh and ready
Trailer brakes work great (underrated feature until you’re going downhill 😅)
Perfect for family time, tubing, wakeboarding, or floating around pretending you have your life together
🤨 CONS (aka let’s be real for a second)
Tilt gauge doesn’t work (adds mystery to every ride)
Tach doesn’t work (speed is a feeling anyway)
Just did tune-up … still needs an oil change (I believe in you)
Carpet on side stringers needs replacing (DIY opportunity)
Center carpet is different because gas tank was replaced → call it “custom interior”
Rope burn on back panel = proof this boat has actually had fun (See Picture)
Some seats are stained (might hit them with a Magic Eraser… or just embrace the history)
Could use a good wax if you’re into that shiny life
This is not a “museum piece.” but it's pretty clean.
This is a get-your-friends-on-the-water, make-some-memories, laugh-about-it-later kind of boat.
If you’re looking for perfection, go buy a new $80K boat and cry when it gets scratched.
If you want something fun, affordable, … this might be your girl.
I will not negotiate over email. If your serious come have a look.
