Hello neighbors!

I am a local piano teacher in the Brookside area who is looking to accept new students! I am looking for students to come to my home weekly for lessons. I have been teaching piano for over a year and I am confident in my ability to inspire the next generation of musicians. I have worked with all different kinds of students ranging from beginners to early intermediate levels of all ages. I also have experience working with students with autism. There's nothing better than watching my student "get it." It makes teaching all worth while.

With winter here, I am looking to accept students who are willing to come on Thursdays and Fridays.

After studying music for roughly five years, I am finally finished and will earn my Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Sacramento State early next year. I've learned from the most talented and supportive piano faculty that I know in the region. It's exciting to instill what I've learned to those who want to learn.

In my lessons, you go the pace of your learning. After all, they're private lessons and not a class. I try to engage a fun interaction between the students; I feel that productivity is at it's best when you have someone fun to work with. However, there are expectations to be met and learning piano takes patience and daily practice. I ensure that each student strives to get better because that is what these lessons are for. You can't expect to get better without practicing. Practice makes a better perfect :).

Since I am a member of Music Teacher's Association of California, I will be offering the Certificate of Merit to students who are ideal candidates for this program. This program is designed for individuals who have excelled in their instrument and understanding of music theory. This program is a great way for students to have a concrete goal to work towards. Students who have excelled in their evaluation may be able to participate in annual MTAC convention recitals. Here is the website for more information:

I do have a bit of strict policy to ensure maximum learning, but I've been told that I'm very nice! I consider myself to be very approachable and someone who is great with kids. Please note we have a friendly cat, but he is put away during piano lessons. His dander is everywhere. Literally everywhere. But he is the cutest thing ever, I'm told.

Please message me for price of lessons or have any questions.
