Opportunity Junction fights poverty by helping low-income Contra Costa residents gain the skills and confidence to get and keep jobs that support themselves and their families. When we work together, motivated job seekers get what they need to launch a career. Their success makes their families and our community stronger.
Key Responsibilities: We need volunteer(s) to assist our Professional Development Instructor on a weekly or bi-monthly basis to the Food Bank for food pick-up. Transport food back to Mt. Diablo Adult Center and distribute evenly among program participants.
Time Commitment: Must be available on Thursdays from 8:30 – 11:00 am

Impact Goal: Provide supplemental food to program participants.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
• Reliable vehicle with room for food transport
• Must be punctual
• Complete a Volunteer Liability Form
• Attend a basic orientation and training to prepare for volunteer service
• Will be accompanied by knowledgeable volunteer or staff member for training.
Benefits: Help provide food to low-income individuals who are either unemployed or underemployed and working toward self-sufficiency. Additionally, you may include yourself in the distribution of food.
